With the song and dance ended Ulquiorra released her brother to go back to his seat and the advisors looking to have the ear of the next king and bridged off other young mn of the court looking for her hand in the next dance. As much as the princess would have liked to continue dancing the day away she had some rather important things to attend to instead.
With the dance floor filling up again the racen haired princess moved off of itin a swish of midnight blue skirts and headed over to the waiting prince, collecting a goblet of wine from a server as they passed her, “so what was it you wanted to speak to me about.”
As she waited for response Ulquiorra raised the goblet to her lips but before she could drink from it her taster emerged from the shadows and plucked it out of her hand to drink from first and oh how she hated the round man.
While it was true she was grateful to never be poisoned Ulquiorra knew her taster took advantage of his position and often ate half of her lavishly prepared meals before he claimed thenm safe for her to eat, leaving her feeling like a chicken picking at scraps. More than once she’d wished someone would try and poison her so she could watch his fat face bloat and go blue.
